Lending her creative eye to the world of fashion, Moussie Sayers started off in the clothes industry designing innovative knitted jumpers. In 1993, it was time for a new adventure and so Nordic Style was founded. This was how the Gustavian style, generally accredited to King Gustav III, was introduced to England as painted furniture was then unheard of. It was indeed the famous Nordic light that
was brought into English homes. Not only did the colour palette perfectly suit the small London spaces, but the classic and timeless elegance of the furniture also responded to a clear gap in the British market.
